Hi Guys, I got the cross-member notched last weekend. I assembled everything last night. GMCGrands, I am using the drop spindles already. What I am concerned about is the ride height. As you know, in order for the front suspension to have proper geometry the lower control arm must be parallel to the ground. When I aired the truck so the lower control arms were level to the ground, the truck was too high. I cut 1.75 inched out of the cross-member to move it up into the frame. I assembled everything last night and now I think its good. The pic you seen on page 2 of the truck assembled is now very close to how it looks @ ride height. I will post more pics soon.
