I think you will find a minor difference in frame rail width where the spring perches go(about 1/4"). My longhorn, is a little different than the other leaf equipped trucks(straight rails). I measure right at 34" outside to outside on the rails. My 78 20 series is more like 34 1/4".......a 1/8" plate tween the frame & perches on ea side? You would have to drill all the holes, as the lenghts on the springs are different than the 2wd leafs from 67-72(your 65 frame is a "close Mohican"). If you like fab work, I think it could be done! On the front, you might just bolt the complete crossmember under the 65 from the later truck. Good luck.....crazy AL
