It's been about two years since my last complete engine. When I had the machine work done I had the block checked, hot tanked, line bored/honed, zero deck, bored with torque plates, cam bearings installed my own freeze plugs. Didnt have to get rods reconditioned as I used new and installed my own piston being put on full floating not pressed total cost for machine work $435.00. Geographic area may come into play.
I do agree with what
Billla said about...the question is what do you need? Not all of this is needed for a street engine, The one I had this machine work done for was a track/race build.
I may get alittle better price because at the time I did get alot of work done but, I don't amagine it was a great amount. Also I'm sure prices have gone up a little in this time frame. Still sounds high to me. Sorry for the long post RJ22
