I generally would agree with that but not in this case.
No torsion rods/boxes, no rockers - inner or outer, equals ZERO support to the firewall.
I had to do something with it, the firewall was flexing like crazy.
We'll soon see how it works out, never know...it might rip right off the floor.
I made two 4x6 plates with 6 relief cuts in each so it offered more weldable area instead of just the perimeter.
Came off the front hoop at a 90 degree angle and now they head uphill due to the cage leaning back, no biggie.
It has made a huge difference, like I said...we'll see if it isn't to stiff now.
