Well, I can understand the money issue, but you just answered your own question: you're looking for an engine that will last for the next 6 months....then you'll have to live with your truck breaking down all the time if you do repairs just to get by. I remember being 19 and not having enough money to fix my brake booster. I bought a proportioning valve from a junk yard, and it lasted about a year before I started having problems again...

And also, you don't have a 2-piece driveshaft. You have a blazer. I just didn't read your name.
