My repair patch cam out a little sloppy but I can fill that in
Here you also see the begining of the bracket I made to mount the hinge to the liftgate:
Drilled and tapped for the bracket (allows for adjustment):
That gaping hole above the hinge where the weatherstripping sits will be filled back in like it never happened (and won't be cut on the other side
) That was from attempts with different hinge styles:
That little slot will also be filled back in:
I tested the motion and it looks like it's gonna work like a champ.
