Welcome aboard!! To join groups, go to UserCP up there at the top of the page. Select "Group Memberships", check off a group and then at the bottom hit the Join Group button. Congratulations...you're a member!! If you want to join more groups, do them one at a time. You will have to log off and back on before they are included with your avatar/signature.
