My ex-brother-in-law was doing my ex-mother-in-law a favor and selling an '82 Nissan Sentra to my younger daughter. He had a wrecking yard in Cumby, TX and I had to drive to Texarkana, AR and pick it up. Didn't look bad. As I drove it back to Benton (about 120 miles) I learned that it would not stay in 5-th gear, unless you wrapped a leg around the shifter. I still had to use the gas pedal. I have big feet and there's not enough room to juggle all that leather in that small area. Suffice it to say that I left it parked at my ex-mother-in-law's house until my ex-brother-in-law came to take it back to TX. My ex-MIL was PO'd that I would snub the offer of a car for such a low price of $750. This was in '94.
