Modernizing parts, like disc brakes, are easier to locate for a 1/2 ton than a 3/4 ton (unless you are more or less changing over to a 1/2 ton in the process) and it is kind of silly to choose a 3/4 ton if you want to drop it into the weeds since that just means doing everything you would do to a 1/2 ton plus removing more parts.

If you plan to customize the be-jezzuz out of it then pick it for the parts it has an the lowest gross weight of lacy brown used to be metal areas.

It actually has cab corners where mine is rusty the truck looks solid. But it has some black on the grill and mine does not.
It looks like this grill but it has faded very badly. Can I get the cab corners off the 2500? and use them on my 1500?
