On July 6th the 47-72 Bowtie Club of the Carolinas will be holding it's 1st Annual Benefit Cruise/Poker-Run. The proceeds from this event will go to Hospice of Surry County and to the winner of the Poker-Run. There will be drawings for door prizes donated by area businesses. The cost for entry will be $20.00 if you pre-register before June 30. On the day of the event the cost will be $30.00. This cost includes a T-Shirt and a poker hand. The Cruise will begin at the Old Lowes building in Mt. Airy at 12:00 am. All entries must be registered by 11:30 am. We will travel the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway for approximately 70 to 80 miles. There will be 7 stops at various places to hand out a poker card to all entries. The entry with the best poker hand at the end will be the winner.
