I completely agree with taking the hit over any other options. vehicles are repairable (most of the time). last fall some "stoners" from my school were driving on a highway that has a solid 50-60 ft shear drop into a ravine on either side. they swerved off the road and landed in the bottom of one. 6 people in a saturn, mind you. none of them were hurt, and i don't know what happened with insurance, but honestly, i sure as hell am not willing to risk that kind of guilt to avoid an accident, only to set myself up for another...
