your going to need to have the computer file tuned to delete some codes, vats, and to set the file as a manual trans since you wont be using the 4l60e.

an 04 motor is drive by wire if I'm correct. the easiest way is to get a cable throttle body and add the wire into the pcm for it. this is what i did to my 04 Tahoe motor.... turned it into a 99 truck basically.

pinning is when you actually remove the wire from the large connector that connects to the pcm. this is not required just helps get rid of some clutter.

i re-pinned my whole harness to make it match a 1999 silverado and tuned the computer to match the year. and added a cable throttle body.
