Yea I used either 8 or 8 1/2" pipe. Ill double check when I get home. It wasnt very hard to do. Plus you can buy just the upper plates from SSD. I like 8 valves better. My truck also didn't have shocks in the front so its really not much of a comparison but I know that in the Suburban I just finished its nice to be able to raise my side up a little more to level it out because Im so fat. When I used to have 4 valves I would just roll around looking like Gilbert Grape.
