Yes, a lot of basement 'stuff' will find its way into the garage.

Here's some "proof" pics.
The one of the kitchen shows the temp. wall and to it's left is where the new steel beam will go.

Other two show the future garage space.
Garage will cover from the dirt bank to about 3ft left of the concrete pad.
Dirt bank on the right is where the retaining wall will be obviously.
Garage will have a 9 or 10ft ceiling and the peak will be as high as the gable end peak you can see in the pics.

Last pic is of the new kitchen parts to be installed.
