Turned out to be the most efficient way, used 8ft dimensional 2x6's on a 16" footer w/double top & bottom plates gave me a 9ft 8" ceiling height.

Just storage, there will be a 4'x4' gable end door on the driveway side and a standard size pass through door off the deck.
