IMHO, I would not notch the frame on a truck that I was using to tow a trailer. I think there is too much liablity. Every vehical I have been in that had drop springs rode like crap and I would not want to drive any long distances in them. Maybe the "softride coils" are better than most vehicals I have been in with drop springs.
