Doing all that work (twice) w/o replacing the heater motor makes me think of my first car that had a new clutch/pressure plate that was installed w/o replacing the throw-out (clutch release) bearing.
Hope the oiling suggestion works for you because it looks to me like you're going to be able to offer suggestions to others on how to do the job.  Not intending to poke fun at you....
