the 1974 had an AMP gauge instead of the common VOLT gauge. the pickups/blazers only used that from 73-75 which really limits buyers. 95% of the ones i sell need volt gauges. the big trucks have an air gauge where the fuel gauge goes in a normal Tach dash set up also. People dont seem to care for that. I commonly see these units cheap at the swap meets. They are not that rare in the big trucks. There were 4,000 and 5,000 RPM tachs in them and plenty of 6 cyl and diesel ones . the 6 cyl ones[those monster V-6's they used] are not calibrated correctly for the typical V-8 truck buyer. DAVE
