Looking great Ack!
I just now read the entire thread. Funny thing I swear I could almost smell the sand blasting when I looked at those photos from when I did mine. I used a lot of sand too, and resorted to filtering it for reuse, which was fine until the sand just got too wet. Anyway, keep up the hard work and good luck with the new baby when he/she arrives!
