Dude, fully rollerize your engine. You will gain a little hp and a ton of longevity. Then w/proper maintenance this will be the last bbc you'll have to build. I had a 454 30 over built and totally rollerized and I am happy I did. Without sparkplugs in it I could turn the crank with one hand.
