Actually Mass just took a step back and before every two years there was a emissions check on 83 and up if it wasn't OBD2 then they sniffed it while it was on the dyno. Now there only checking OBD2 vehicles so 95 and back and wahoo let the big motors roll.

It depends on where in Az you are located. My dad lives in Lake Havasu City, AZ and there is no emissions test there.
