There are services out there that do fix them for a much lower price, about $175. The is a sponsor on the FullSizeChevy.com forums that advertises repairs. It is also possible to replace the faulty motors yourself, serch the FSC forums for it. I'm thinking I read a link or 2 on doing it yourself.
