I was going to post up some of the tools I use later. The thing that helped me the most was the 24'' sanding block. I also use a straight edge to check if what Im seeing is what is actually going on. It sounds funny, but your eyeballs will lie sometimes. I still need to get some pointers from Alan about sanding around the wheelwells and the body lines.
I just started using a hammer and dolly and I am really surprised what you can do with it. Just trying to learn things as I go, also.

Guide coat and I also use masking tape if a body line is giving me trouble. Lay the tape on the bodyline edge and sand up to it while using guide coat. When you feel the filler look away. Your eyes will make you hands feel things. Just try it.
