WOW, I didn't even know we had a model section here.
Ok, I'll post my Chevy truck that I'm building.
This truck started life as an AMT 1984 GMC 4x4 kit (re-release of MPC Fall Guy) that my friend bought and robbed the suspension and axles from and gave to me. Since it was missing the 4x4 parts, I figured why not build my truck.
I started off with the first thing that is incorrect for my truck, the bed. The kit has a shortbed and my is a longbed. I'm not finished because I need another box and frame to pull it off. Here's how I'm doing it.
Now the rest of the truck. I found a guy on the net that made the single light grille. I had a set of 5 slots cast from an old Ford kit, and I found the proper front bumper.
I started work on the interior by correcting it. It had 77-80 doors and 73-80 dash which I both scratchbuilt and modified to the post-80 style. I also removed the GMC from the tailgate band.
And finally, the truck as it sits now.
I hope to finish this one by next fall.
