Mine is a factory 4spd column, so I can't give you any info on the Flaming River part other than I hear they're pretty dayum nice.
As for the cable shift, I got it through Summit and it's made by Lokar.
Note that this is not what I'm using this time, the pic is from the blue blazer which had a factory column.

The Lizard Skin is a two part application with the 1st layer being a sound control and the 2nd being heat protection.
Taken right off of the container stating what it will do:
*Reduce engine and solar heat transfer by 25-30 degrees or more
*Reduce noise by as much as 10-12 decibels
*Protect sufaces from moisture and corrosion
*Withstand temperatures to 500 degrees F (260 C)
*Class 'A' fire rated, does not support combustion
The stuff is made for 'exactly' this application.
