Re: Medium Duty trucks

Nice trucks guys, always good to see interest in these old workhorses.

Here's my medium duty: 1972 c50 tandem axle (one drive/one tag), 5spd with 2spd rear, 366 v8. Also rocking the dayton wheels, which are apparently rated for more weight than the regular budd wheels (but much harder to change than the budds). This truck was a grain truck, had a dump grain bed on it which the PO kept for another truck. Has a little rust on the passengers fender, and a softball sized hole in the floor on the drivers side. Also in the glove box under all the rat byproducts, I found the operators manual and the protect-o-plate!

Plans for this truck include chopping off the tag axle and shortening the wheelbase significantly, putting a flatbed on, and maybe an engine swap? The only reason I bought the truck was because it was dirt cheap and I needed something to haul trailers with in the immediate area. That, and it's just really cool
