Found the center bolt Valve covers I was looking for from Speedway Motors.
I've started porting my heads before I send them in to get hot tanked, milled and new valve seats with a 3 angle valve job. Next money I save for will be to rebuild the rest of the motor.
This motor was in my 1990 Snap-On Box Van, that I put a new motor in. I kept the core motor. I bought this van brand new. So this engine has sentimental value. I thought it had burnt valves in it, because it had bad compression, and had loss power. Now that I tore it apart 13 years later it turned out it was only the timing chain.
It was faster for me to just put a crate motor from GM. I had to be back on the road selling Diagnostic Equipment after the weekend. Wish I looked into it a little further. But I'm going to have a sweet motor for my 65.
