Caster can make that same issue...however it is highly unlikely that is your issue.

First thing i'd do is give the front end a once over to see where your at parts wise...then decide what lift tire combo you want vs. gear ratio...

Years ago my 79 K5 had a 4 inch lift...and 33" tires. I ended up going to 4.10 gears to get it back in the power band. I always thought that combo was the best...and you can wheel hard and stuff the tires and never effect the turning ratio and or crinkle fenders...once you hit 6"s and 35's you are going to rub.
