Why are you using the dodge floor? There isnt any way its the right width. I think it would have been easier to get some flat steel, roll beads into it for strength (floorboard), and fuse two cabs together. JMO though.  |
I believe it is easier for me to graft the cab to the Dodge. Believe it or not the floor is the correct width, just modifying it where the GMC steps are. Which I am also changing the step design on the GMC. There were a lot of reasons for using the Dodge floor, firewall, and cab back.

Body mount locations are correct.
Trans tunnel is correct for the Cummins
Firewall is correct for the Cummins
I can bolt in the Dodge interior (front & rear seats, carpet, etc.)
Newer floor = Better structure
And I love the challenge
I'm actually amazed at how well it's all fitting together. I cut here, cut there, measure here, measure there. And holy snaps Dodge = GMC
