if i didn't have a bad boy 406sbc to throw in my 72 burb, i'd prefer that it had come with a 250 so i could swap it for a hopped up 292.
you can get crazy with those engines....hi-po exhaust manifolds, bigger or multi-carb intakes, fuel injection, even a roller valvetrain is possible i hear. old school with all the benefits of modern engineering.
put a petronix conversion on your stock dissy like i did on my truck. i hear they have a more hi=po (more hei like) petronix II series out. i'd love to have a granny gear in the rear diff and a modern 6 speed (.7 5th gear and .52 6th gear) behind a hot rod 292. different from the crowd and would make for an awesome cruiser and tow vehicle.
