Just asking. A friend and I built a 6" rod 406 sbc solid tappet motor W/ the VT heads for his dads 63 short box and that thing was a bruiser. It would click off high 12.70's every time at the track.
To keep the cost down a little trick you can do is drill the rocker arm studs and bosses and press in roll pins.

No I really haven't.

Got Vortech heads and intake on my truck right now. So with this set I just bought hoping it will perform better than whats on it currently. Also have a flat tappet .488/.510 hyd. cam I am running with a two-plane intake and the same Holley carb that is currently on the vehicle.

Just going to play with this setup before building up a nice 406 setup. I've heard they make some VERY high torque, very close to BBC numbers. So I can't wait to find that out even though it will be a while for that to happen.
