It actually scare the **** outta me, I was under the burb pulling on wires trying to see where they went and the starter arced and turned over. The key wasn't even in the ignition!
The previous owner did give me the receipts from his shade tree "machanic" but they say $160 to fix bare wires. Then 5days later he had it towed to the same mechanic and they charged him $120 to trace and repair wrong wires from battery to ecm. All they did was put some electrical tape on the wire from the starter and disconnect the fusible link.
You guys know how it goes, if ya want something done right, best to do it yourself.
I will be happy when my power windows and locks work properly again. The trash bag method worked well the past couple of days to keep all the rain out.
