Hey Drtyrat, I just found this thread and want to ask a couple questions about your painting. You said,

"Spent some time getting the frame stripped clean of years of grime and oil leaks. Used engine brite, super clean, wire brush, putty knife and finished it with a wire brush wheel on my 4 1/2" grinder. I'm going to wipe it down with acetone and prime and paint it today."

I assume you followed the same process/same paint - Rustoleum Pro in a silver color?

But if the parts were new from PB did you have to remove some kind of oil or preservative from them? Did they have light surface rust? If so, how much did you worry about that - did you get it ALL off, or just most of it then proceed with the paint prep process you describe?
