I agree. I just put a 4L60E and NP208 into my low hump 67 C10 and it cleared with at least an inch in all areas.

I'm only putting the high hump tunnel in there for the easy access and so the NP208 shifter has somewhere to go plus I have the tunnel parts out of the TC donor so why not. I think the NP208 shifter linkage may hit the trans or TC with a low hump. If I had an NP205 or 203 in there it would clear for sure with their different TC shifter design.
