You can definitely do that, and it would be a great engine....but for the price you'll have into it you could have a 6.0L or maybe even larger factory LS motor with all the goodies that would be a screamer.......the add-on Fuel injection is expensive and building a 383 that will compete with a LS will cost you a minimum of 2500+ machining costs.....
Depending on machining costs, you could probably have a blown (supercharged) LS motor for less than an aftermarket fuel injected 383....
My plan was a 383....until I started reading the LS swap forum on here
