If it is just the location of the kick up being too far forward to work you could section the frame and move the kick up rearward where it will work. Then all you have to do it add some extra material up front to create the wheel base you need.

I did this on my 67 K10 conversion to make a square body chassis fit the body better without need for a body lift.
