Apparently you don't understand what equivalent means...
If it was functional, it would be a different story, but otherwise it is just a poser look. Same as the big ricer mufflers that kids put on. The look implies performance, which nine times out of ten is not there.
Hope that helps you understand my perspective. Regardless, it is a good trade as a re-sale item given the circumstances the OP gave.
