FYI, I searched other GM web sites (Chevelle, Camaro, Corvette and Pontiac) looking for build sheet references to seat belt color. They mentioned column and dash pad color as a reference, but nothing definitive.

I happened to be near where I store my truck that has Black Belts with Parchment seat, door panels and visors and checked the date code on my recoil belts (because they are easy to see). My truck was built January 5, 1972 and the two belt codes I checked were 47K71 and 46K71. I assume that means the belts were made in the 46th and 47th weeks of 71 (seems right).

If anyone knows where a color code for the seat belt is located on the build sheets, please let me know.
