Not sure if this is really the right spot for this so mods please move it if necessary.

Has anyone replaced the A/C compressor and the associated parts to keep the compressor warrant in an Equinox? How hard is it? Any surprises?? My wifes A/C is leaking freon and the dye I put in is all over the compressor as well as a lot of compressor oil so I think that is the problem. Just wondering if this is something I want to tackle. Thanks.
