Re: Project 67

Done some research on eng mounts. Taped the distance from the rear of the block to top bolt hole on eng mount. Talking slightly more than 14 on SM Block versus 10 on the V-6. Not sure what the old GMC V6 used for mounts....??? Anyone have any insight. Also do not know if the old V-6's were comparable length as a small block or a inline 6. One thought was to just move the towers back 4 inches to maintain a decent distance from the firewall. Provided sitting in the mounts it sits level still. Electric fans behind a 4 core rad in a custom shroud will keep it cool. Guess custom length upper n lower rad houses as these maybe some what of a distance away.
Quick question does the 700R4 require the high hump for clearance? Or will the low stock hump have enough clearance? Spied an older 700R4 yesterday with a 2 year old rebuild that has less than 10,000 miles on it. But it is the older version out of a handicapped chevy van. For the additional weight inside the van electric wheel chair lift, huge electrical drivers handicap seat it was rebuilt with all the extras to be almost builet proof.
As aways I'm open to everyone's ideas and thoughts.
