Hey Mike , yes I'm using a bench grinder style buffer . It's an 8 in that I bought at Northern Tools. Eastwood also has them. Also, I personally prefer to cut the old gasket to remove the glass . Then the trim can be safely removed without fear of damaging it .

Once you have everything u need , get an old piece to practice on. U can put some dings or creases in it and then work it to get them out. You'll be more than comfortable when u start working with your good trim .
