Well Dan Chassis Engineering does sale a bolt on kit for the Advanced Design Trucks but not ours.

I don't know of any bolt on for 55-59 trucks, but sgtusmc did a frame swap and it looks to be coming along pretty good. He is a cool guy and I would ask him about it if your buddy is really interested. Here is a link to his thread
