no havn't tried it
thats how police cars are worked
for the same (no get out) reason
if i remember the rod is held by a snap clip
undo it,remove it,no cutting ,can be put back
while your in there,see how it measures pointing to the front
drill at the right angle ,insert the collar/screw in knob,replace a solid plug up top
don't have a truck here to try,have doors but they are buried lol
and you would want them on to check for clearance/hinges
hopeing to get that far in the garage this weekend tho lol
