That setup is on the half ton trucks. This is a 1-1/2 ton or larger truck.
The emergency brake on Andsonsvd's truck is on the transmission and uses a lever that sits next to the shift handle.. I'm not finding anything in the assembly manual and that still makes me believe that that bracket/ lever was part of something that was added onto the truck later.
