Well got her lowered FINALLY. I was trying to be cheap and use some drop spindles I had left over from my '67. Figured I could do some "engineering" and get the parts to work. Well I found out that one of the previous owners had switched the lower control arms, spindles and all of the steering stuff (including the center link!) to 3/4-ton stuff. Well it's one thing to go from '72 1/2-ton to '67 1/2-ton, and SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to go from '72 3/4-ton to '67 1/2-ton.
Needless to say, I tried just about everything but could not get it to work. So I replaced everything with '72 1/2-ton parts so that it would be correct. Ended up costing me more $$ than if I had done it right the first time...
Anyway, here's a crappy pic of her as she sits. I have some 2" drop blocks for the rear, haven't decided if I'm going to use them or not.
It seems a bit bouncy in the rear, so I may have to find some different shocks.
