Tackled the test run on the hood this weekend.

The product from Squeeg's Kustoms is awesome to work with.

Sprayed on perfectly with a 1.3 tip on the gun.



I left the front section (turn signals, etc.) of the hood untouched. I found cancer in the front corner, and with the dent on the other side, I've decided to swap out the whole front section of the hood.

Either way, this is a good test run of the finish, while it will protect the bare metal from rusting while the rest of the body gets worked out.

If I sand through all the paint on the top of the cab and it's white under there, the whole top of the cab is going to go down to bare metal before clear. The baby blue / white combo just isn't my thing.

I'm really pleased with the hood though.

Nice satin, clear finish....
