Re: Curt's '72 K20 Resto-mod

The back window went in very easily. It came out great!

The windshield was another story.

I had purchased the cheapest gaskets I could find. Ok. Ok. Wrong move.
I had been following the threads on windshield installation, wondering if we would have issues.
Seems the back window is the same from 1968 to 1972, using the wide groove trim.
The windshield changed in 1971 to a smaller groove. My installer says that there's no way he can put it in with the narrow groove trim. It puckered very bad on the inside corners. Everything points to the lesser quality gasket.
We ordered a Presision gasket. We'll see how it goes.

Here it is with the windshield installed, but it'll come back out when the new gasket gets here.
