I used the speedo needle actuator out of the RSX cluster to convert my the Minx speedo to electric. This way it can use the existing Honda VSS signal instead of going to a mechanical sender (ECU needs the VSS signal too). I have to run the VSS signal through the RSX cluster PCB (inside cluster housing) to drive the needle actuator. That, along with a
SpeedoHealer and it appears to be working! The RSX cluster will be hidden behind the dash. Added bonus; the digital odometer should count up as the VSS/miles tick up. The LCD could also be remote mounted, though I don't want to see anything digital... Other lights/indicators could be remoted as well.
The other option was to go with the S2000 cluster, which is novel, but not my taste:
