Re: Factory Truck height ?

I agree. I live just outside Buffalo, NY. The mentality here is that a 4X4 is an absolute necessity. Ive had them in the past but I rarely used 4wd unless I was out playing in the mud (which I outgrew a long time ago). I had 4wd trailblazers for 6 years before I bought my silverado. When truck shopping in 2010 I thought "why should I spend and extra $2-3K ($40-$60 more each payment) to have 4wd when I only used it 4 times in the last 6 years?" So instead of getting a 4X4 "plain jane", I got a 2wd with power windows, keyless entry, LS chrome pkg, carpet and G80 locker. The only times the western New York snow gave me problems with my 2wd truck, that locking diff kept me out of trouble. For me, a 2wd is all I need for what I do with my truck.
