Got the rear out of the lwb frame.....FINALLY! Too much work and wasted time with hand tools....hope to look at a big shop compressor this week...but will need 220 run to the garage...
Got the parts on the shop truck sprayed with pb blaster so they can soak for a bit. Probably will spray one more time before attacking it...waiting on the u-bolt nuts to loosen up a bit on the old rear so I can get those out. Then will clean up and paint that rear so it is ready to install....will put the lowering blocks and longer u-bolts on to I can slide the rear in place and bolt the bags in....will take the bed off to make it a lot easier (bed is loose anyways).
And I will paint the rear frame while I'm at it...
Also cleaned up the glovebox door a bit... it was dirty as well as a little too rusty. Soaked it in lime away and then rinsed it off....after drying it off I sprayed it with wd40 to hopefully keep any more rust at bay....wiped it off the textured face and I'm very happy with the end result....just enough patina
